FMHamper
  • The hamper Lord Mountbatten brings to Charles is from the food halls at Fortnum and Mason, a department store on Piccadilly in Mayfair. Although it is a full-service store, Fortnum and Mason is best known for its luxury foods, packaged in their signature "eau de nil" (blue-green), and its extravagant hampers. Fortum and Mason holds two royal warrants from the Queen and Prince Charles, indicating they supply goods or services to them.
  • In the endnotes, Charles dubbed Gordonstoun as "Colditz with Kilts" because of how he was treated.
  • The real Prince Philip tried to sue the crew due to the inaccurate portrayal of his family (Andrew blaming him for the death of Cecilie, building the school gates and the treatment of Charles during the plane and many others)
